Pennsylvania & Friends

Jon and I had the privalege of taking a trip to the Pittsburgh area to celebrate one of my best friend's wedding. Tara and Andy set their date for October 3rd, which was exactly 1 week after Jon and I got married. We (especially me) were so excited to share in their joy that day. After the wedding, all 4 of us took a little trip together for a couple of days a short distance outside of the city. The weather was perfect. The trees were perfect. The time spent there was perfect. We all had a fantastic trip!

Tara and I have known each other since our freshman year of college at Oklahoma Christian University... about 6 years ago now. We have shared a lot together, even though she is all the way in Pennsylvania, and I am in Texas. She has always been the most loyal and caring of friends, and has such a huge heart. You really can't help but love her!! It was my first time to meet Andy, whom she has spoken of nearly constantly over the last 3 years, and I was more than proud. He fits Tara so well, and loves her so much. I couldn't ask for a better guy for my best friend!

So here's to Tara and Andy! We love you both and can't wait for the next time!!

(These are a bit out of order... I am still not good at this blog thing!!)

Of course Jon had to take one with a Steeler!!
Our happy couple before the big day...
All the ladies!
The love birdsHooray!! Mr. & Mrs. Corace!!
After the wedding, on our little "double honeymoon", we went hiking one day, ate some AWESOME food, saw some crazy animals at a zoo, and a famous house called "Falling Water" that was built by Frank Lloyd Wright..... just to name a few :)

Andy & Jon on our hike
This woodsy bench was in the middle of a trail overlooking a waterfall...
Jon & I sitting at a waterfall (there were several of those around... gorgeous!!)
I was in love with all the trees (they were just starting to turn). They, and water, covered so much of the landscape there... totally made me wonder why I was living in the Panhandle.
I had never seen a real chipmunk before.... they are the cutest, tiniest things!! This one was very polite and let me inch closer & closer so I could take multiple pictures of it.
Before the hike... I wanted a picture of the "backroads" of PA & some dead, but colorful, leaves :) I was an explorer that day...

We went to this farmers market and they had the Worlds Largest Pumpkin... or something. It was 1,076 lbs total weight... I think! In front of the house called "Falling Water" by Frank Lloyd Wright
We were at a petting zoo where we could feed the animals and I think this camel really liked what Andy & Tara had in their bag, because he took the food & half of the bag with him. This was their reaction. Haha :)Boy did we eat... and eat... and eat... :) It was seriously some of the best food!!
Our trip unfortunately had to come to an end, and Jon and I had to return to Texas. It was such a memorable time though. There would never be a way to post all of the pictures up, so this was more of a glance... but it was loads of fun :) Next big trip will be our official honeymoon... coming in January!!
